E'rootha provides many programs and services that help to promote Cultural Awareness, Community Service and Education, the cores of our mission and what we believe are the founding values that will ensure that our ethnic community will thrive. From our Dance Troupe to our Youth Refugee Mentoring Program, we believe that we are breeding great leaders in all that we do. We welcome you to find where your passion lies and to get involved in any way you can!

Youth Refugee mentoring program:

As a mentor for E'rootha's Youth Refugee Mentoring Program, you will read and help your mentee with homework assignments in a "Big Brother/Big Sister" one-on-one style. As a role model to the kids, you will be providing guidance to help develop a confident leader in your mentee.

Are you a student headed to the fields of Health, Law, Engineering, Teaching or Business? Sign up for the Professional Mentoring Program and we'll pair you up with someone in your chosen field to help you make sure you're headed in the right direction. E’rootha also needs professionals to mentor interested students.

Dance Troupe:

Calling all dancers! E’rootha is looking for young Chaldeans, Assyrians, and Syriacs who love to dance the traditional line dances of our culture to perform with the Dance Troupe at local events. See what it takes to become part of the team!

Learn the traditional dances that are danced today by Chaldean, Assyrian and Syriac people. E'rootha's dance classes teach dances like the Goobare, Bageeye, Shekhanee, Siskani, Chobia, Allawee, Nina and many others!

Modern Aramaic Language Classes:

Learn how to read, write and speak Aramaic, a centuries-old language preserved by the first civilization in the world! Earn university credits through E'rootha's course, which covers 3-semesters worth of material. Class is held at University of Detroit Mercy.

Refugee ESL SUmmer Learning Academy:

The Refugee ESL Summer Learning Academy is a 2-month long summer camp for newly-arrived refugees. Become a group leader and lead camp activities teaching young kids lessons of teambuilding and character. This program is a partnership with Lutheran Social Services of Michigan's School Impact Program.
